A Smart solution to a practical problem
The inception of PARC BV was clear-cut: dredging companies realized that repairing rubber dredging hoses was often more cost-effective and sustainable than replacing them. This demand was the starting point for siblings Gert and Margreeth van den Berg, who combined their technical and organizational expertise to launch a new company. Their practical approach quickly gained traction, establishing PARC as a recognized name in the market.

From a small warehouse to an international player
After moving from a larger warehouse in Werkendam to Giessen, PARC now operates with a 20-ton overhead crane. In 2015, a significant step was taken with the establishment of Parc American Dredging Services in the United States. To successfully launch this venture, Gert temporarily relocated with his family to the U.S. This international expansion proved highly valuable.
In 2018, Gert bid farewell to PARC, passing the baton to Leen van Mourik, who had previously worked as a repair technician within the company. This transition ushered in a new era of growth and stability.

Continuing to innovate in a changing world
PARC BV has continued to evolve, even in uncertain times. During the 2008 financial crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, and other challenges, our team consistently sought innovative solutions. For instance, in collaboration with a manufacturer, we developed a new material free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), benefiting both people and the environment. Additionally, new services emerged, such as the development of a mobile flange straightening machine, enabling steel pipe repairs worldwide.
Internally, significant innovations took place. The organization professionalized with clearly defined roles, safety and quality policies, and a digital work environment featuring an advanced quotation process. Over the years, we’ve also expanded our repair services to include fenders, underwater doors, and buoys, alongside the sale of new and used dredging equipment.
A strong team with global impact
What sets PARC BV apart is its small, close-knit team with a vast reach. Employees work independently at locations worldwide. The motto “get the job done” resonates in everything the team undertakes. The informal atmosphere, high level of responsibility, and willingness to go the extra mile ensure that clients can rely on expert craftsmanship—wherever they are.
In recent years, PARC has built strong relationships with clients and partners. Globally, there are close collaborations with dredging companies and transport partners, leading to successful on-site projects.
